Thank you. I've been looking for this magazine for some time.
Amazingly, the article on "Phonograph Dolls" describes parents buying toys supposedly for the children, but really for themselves. This is just like the present day situation.
Elsewhere, there's a comedic story about some rural people, which I didn't find particularly funny except for the joke about the barrel busting.
Rather more funny was the joke about 5 pounds of sugar in the section "An Obliging Tradesman", which might have fit in nicely in a 1950s sitcom.
Also featured are a handful of vintage advertisements, which is always a good thing. I love old ads. I'm amazed at how expensive the concert records were, no wonder they didn't sell well.
